Daniel Lobb is a Kentucky-based stop-motion animator, director, and musician. Through his work, he seeks to challenge the culture of dominance that structures society.
He directed, animated, and edited the short film A Scavenger Hunt for People Loneliest in Their Own Homes, which won several awards, including Best Experimental Short at the Indie Shorts Awards Cannes. It was a collaboration with author and director Lexie Bean, and presents survival strategies for people isolated in unsupportive homes.
He has worked on documentaries, music videos, narrative films, and commercials, employing a unique animation style that often casts familiar household items in surprising ways. With this approach, he looks to continue making films that shine a light on what we must cherish, and what we must change.
